Intro to UX: Design Thinking Workshop

Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation that draws from the designer's toolkit to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success.”

User Experience(UX) encompasses all aspects of the user interaction with the company, its services and its products. The concept of UX Designer was created in the late 90s and now growing as an actual job position. Here at CIDE, we believe that design plays an important role in developing an awesome product, so we're aiming to build the UX Community here in Malaysia and raise awareness on the concept of UX. Part of UX Design uses "Design Thinking" as a methodology to tackle problems and challenges in the field.

But what constitutes design thinking?

Come join us as we go through design thinking within a 1.5 hour workshop, created by Stanford d.School as "The Virtual Crash Course in Design Thinking", it's essentially a 90 minute video-led cruise through the design thinking methodology. This is a casual workshop is not professionally certified. You can find out more about it through here. All the resources are available online, but you can't do it alone! So come join us for a night of learning and meeting new people, through unleashing your inner child and build fun prototypes like arts & crafts, where you will know a stranger well enough to get him a gift!

Through public transport, you can get down at KLCC LRT, then walk towards the entrance of Convention Center, then use the walkway to walk towards Jalan Perak. When you get down from the walkway, it's the immediate building on your right.

As for drivers, you can park at KL Live Center/ Menara UOA then walk towards Menara Perak (our venue).

Will there be food?
Yes! Pizza, tea, coffee and water of course.

Can I NOT bring the items to the workshop?
Aw come on, be a fun sport. I promise you won't regret it.
